Dark BWWM Mafia Romance | Mafia Stalker (Boston Irish Mafia Romance Book #5)

Odhran, the dark, younger and more mysterious brother has secrets and darkness in his heart. He’s beyond morally grey and his connection to Onika will make you question your morals as you crave more of the mobster.

This book reveals more about Odhran than I teased in previous books and our female lead Onika is half-black and half-Chinese as well as a plus-sized female lead.

Many of your favorite characters from the series will also be in this story — including updates on the rest of the Murray family.

Here are the steamy tropes you can expect in this book…

  • Domination and dub-con

  • a STRONG black female character who uses her wits at every turn

  • our first blasian female lead in a main series

  • a stalker romance

  • virgin fetish

  • lightly kinky romance scenes (very hot, but not disgusting)

  • booty appreciation scenes

Onika has a startling connection to a character from Book #4, but I don’t want to spoil it for you early.

This story is dark and the content in this book is not suitable for all readers, especially sensitive readers.

While events in this book were spurred by events in Book #1 through #4, all the books in the series may be read as standalone stories. As always, keep scrolling to read the first chapter in the book FREE.

Romance Novel Excerpts | Mafia Stalker | Dark Mafia Romance

Chapter #1

ODHRAN

Six is asleep in my arms. I drugged her. She’s been getting very annoying lately and the only way to get her to stay quiet long enough for me to focus on my work was for me to drug her. It’s easy to do it without her noticing, since she can’t end the night without a drink. We’re only nineteen, so you would think she might realize she has a problem. But she doesn’t, which suits me just fine now that I need her out of the picture. Alprazolam is my best friend in this situation – you probably know the drug by the brand name Xanax – but it’s a lot cheaper to pay an organic chemistry student to synthesize the generic version.

Anyway, I crush exactly 2mg of alprazolam into a fine powder and stir it into her cocktail every night before bed. It’s flavorless. She tries to sleep with me each time the drugs begin to kick in, and each time, I kiss her until she falls asleep and throw the covers over her so she doesn’t get too cold.

I hope she doesn’t adjust to her dosage too soon. It’s getting very annoying to pay for the drugs and Six’s constant pestering about our pending marriage only makes me want her more and more quiet. I can kill her. I can always kill her.

I suppress the thought. Aiden, my brother and the boss of the Murray family Irish mob, would punish me if I killed her, and there’s no way I could hide it from him either. It’s Aiden. He’s intuitive, older, and he understands the cruelty that runs in the veins of our family members.

He would know.

Six is so quiet when she sleeps. And thin. Pale pink skin clings to her bony physique. Her waist-length blond hair makes her look like a silver ghost in the dark room, illuminated only by my cell phone’s screen.

My girlfriend takes up so much of my bed. I wish she would go back to her place, but I suppose she lives here now. Carefully, I roll her body out of my arms and position her so she can keep breathing. I live off campus so I can have more space. I need space for my pet snake, Killer Bee, and then my gaming room. I suppose I also need space for Six since she’s here all the time and occupies every square inch of my apartment with her college books and clothes.

Once she’s asleep, I can spend my time exactly how I want without Six nagging me about wedding planning or “fucking a baby into her”, which is the last thing I ever want to do. Football is what I truly love, but I’ve had to give it up. I chose my family over the game. But I still need something to do in my downtime and video games have always given me peace of mind. Not just video games but… everything about the world of the internet has always appealed to me. Part of my job involves doing research for and with my brothers.

It’s much easier to track and kill your prey with the internet now. It never fails to shock me how people are so reckless. They post their location to their public accounts. They post pictures of their schools, houses, friends, cars, vacation spots, commonly visited coffee shops…

All you need is one piece of information most of the time – a first name – and then a location, and you can find everything you need to know about someone.

Take for example, my victim. The one Six can’t know about.

Onika Cook. She goes by a screen name in our video game server, but I cracked that code pretty quickly. It’s not like she isn’t clever. Cracking her code took some time, but she left little clues all over the place that only a careful researcher could pick up on. I found those little clues, those little breadcrumbs and determined that inkywhiterosepetals isn’t an anonymous, mysterious stranger, but a girl who attends my university.

Tracking her wasn’t easy, but I’ll explain it to you, because perhaps it will explain my fascination with her.

She isn’t the sort of girl who attracts much attention. That’s what fascinated me about her originally. Once I realized the woman behind the screen name was right within my reach – an unknown, chubby, glasses-wearing video game nerd with messy curls and the least fashionable clothing at school, my fascination turned into an obsession.

It’s her first-year and she spent her entire first semester going alone between classes and her dorm room. She started her Tumblr blog on the first day of her first-year and I read all of the 6,531 posts Onika has made since then. I have my favorites in a private folder.

Once I accessed her Tumblr by typing her gaming screen name into a search engine, I uncovered more details about her. White is her favorite color to wear. Roses are her favorite flower. She writes in her journal every morning using a fountain pen. I read her Tumblr page scouring for clues until I learned that she lives in the Northeastern United States. I cataloged as much information as I can, hoping to find the city and town she lives in.

I was desperate to track down the girl behind the screen name, but convinced she’ll be a girl in New Hampshire, or Maryland, and my goal would become that much more difficult if I had to leave the city.

Refreshing her blog four times a day, I read every single one of her updates, hoping for Onika to slip up. Then she slipped up in her efforts to hide her privacy. Only another hunter can understand the absolute euphoria of your prey making a mistake and giving you another opportunity to take advantage of their vulnerabilities.

She mentioned a coffee shop on her blog. I know the coffee shop.

That means she lives in Boston. Right now. To attend my university, she would have to. But what were the chances of her being right within reach?

We joined the gaming community chat site and played some games together. She was really good at Call of Duty. Good enough that I checked her profile in the first place.  Good enough that I wanted to know more about her.
Seeing that she lived in Boston only made me more curious.

The coffee shop Onika mentions is one right near our university campus. I skipped all my classes for two weeks just to sit in the coffee shop and research in case I could use the clues to match a name to the screen name. I don’t need to attend classes to keep my GPA over 4.0, so it’s just a matter of making sure Aiden doesn’t find out that I’m wasting my tuition money by sitting in a cafe to track down a girl from the internet. College should work on being more interesting.

If he knows why I chose her, he’ll be even more furious.

After two weeks of taking notes, I separated and color-coded my notes on my phone, putting all the clues and pieces together until one particular person stood out. She visits the coffee shop at the same time, three times a week and as the fall semester turns into a blistering Boston winter, she always wears a white coat and a white pair of Chelsea boots.

But this girl… the one I believe to be inkywhiterosepetals isn’t white. I don’t know why that gets me more excited. Maybe it’s the tattoo I have on the inside of my forearm of special Celtic words to match the brand on my wrist from my final initiation into the family, which both demonstrate my commitment to racial purity. Dad had to beg half my brothers to get the words tattooed, but I proudly asked when I was fourteen because of my commitment to Six.

There was never going to be a girl who wasn’t Irish in my life because I had her.

And now, I’m going to change that. Callum wants to stop me from acting out my fantasies, from chasing down this girl and turning the pixels into a person for my own pleasure. He doesn’t understand why I’ve been stalking her and how deeply this need to discover her identity propels me. He doesn’t understand that this time, I have a perfectly reasonable motivation for my dark urges.

Once I have a face, I have all I need. I scour student records and public student social media profiles for anyone who knows her. There’s a bookstore near campus that sells a bunch of social justice garbage for people who give a crap about screaming in the streets and getting nothing done, and that bookstore has an online page featuring Onika Cook holding up a book for a promotional post.

They tag her public page and I have her. Almost.

Breathless as I view her page, I glance over at Six, lying asleep in bed with me. I’ll have to deal with the Six problem eventually, but leaving her isn’t as easy as it seems. We might not be married but in the mob, engagements like ours are more serious than marriages. My life has been pledged to hers since we were kids. I can’t abandon her.

I glance at the pillow where she rests her head, wondering if it would be a mercy to kill her instead of putting her through this. Too messy. Instead, I scroll through Onika’s page again, finalizing my plans to stalk her, make her life a living hell and push her to the point of murder.

I want to watch her kill for the first time and I want to see if it breaks her. I want to own her completely. Control her. Possess her. Turn her into nothing more than my plaything, my servant in every sense of the world.

There’s nothing sexual about it. I couldn’t possibly break the vow I made to my family. Unlike my brothers, I still believe in our family’s teachings. This is blood lust, nothing more. It’s about the psychological and emotional control I’ve always craved over another living thing. Onika awakens those urges in me more powerfully than any other woman. Identifying her in person only strengthened the obsession I fostered in secret.

She doesn’t know how much I know about her. She doesn’t know that the screen name that shows up to every game she plays, celticsfan55 is me – Odhran Murray, the youngest son in the Murray mob family. Everyone is anonymous on the internet, which she thinks works to her advantage, but it only works to my advantage. Not hers.
